At Guidemearoundcr, we know that seeing a sloth is a top priority for anyone visiting Costa Rica. That’s why we have curated our experiences to ensure that you don’t just spot the animal, but that you do so in their natural habitat, ethically, and without disturbing their peace.
Our quality standard is built on over 12 years of experience traversing these trails. We know which routes offer the best opportunities for spotting, and more importantly, we know the ethical protocols required to ensure our presence does not interfere with the forest’s life.
To enjoy this experience, we offer two options tailored to your needs:
Private Experience (With Me): If you are looking for a fully personalized immersion, this is the service I designed myself. We will leverage my 12 years of experience to delve into the fascinating details of the forest, adapting the pace to your interests—whether that’s photography, in-depth learning, or a relaxed hike for your family.
Standard Experience (Partner Tour): If you prefer a more conventional tour but want the peace of mind of having it vetted by us, this option grants you access to the best spotting locations, guided by trusted partners who share our vision of respect and care for wildlife

Cancellation Policy
- Any modifications or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the departure time will incur a penalty of 100%.
- Our guides or drivers will wait for 5 minutes at the agreed or designated location. If the customer does not show up at the agreed time, it will be considered a No Show and a penalty of 100% will be charged.
Additional Notes
- Price per person (USD).
- Extra charge for pickups for tours and transportation according to the area of your hotel (round trip)
- Rate Valid until December 14th *Some exceptions*
- This tour requires a minimum of 2 adults.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Children aged 0 to 4 years old are free of charge.
- Children aged 5 to 11 years old have a discounted price.
- Tour is operated in differents languages (Spanish and English).
- Transportation is included for most hotels. If your hotel is far from La Fortuna or far from the main road to the Volcano, an extra charge may apply. Please inquire.
- The time described is approximate. The exact time will be sent to you upon confirmation of your reservation.
- Vegetarian option available. Please advise at the time of reservation.
- Some tours are not recommended for pregnant women, people with back problems, heart problems, or other serious medical conditions.
- Due to uneven surfaces, some tours are not recommended for individuals with walking difficulties or those using a wheelchair. Please inquire if the tour is wheelchair accessible, as this may vary depending on the specific tour.
